Dried Chillies

Dead Chilli Head

We dry thousands of our fresh chillies so that you can still enjoy our chillies all year.

We have planted some great drying chillies such as Guajillio, Naga and Ancho

There are a number of ways to use dried chillies. One method is to just crush the dried pod straight into the cooking, or they can be soaked in hot water for 20 mins, then use.

The taste of dried chillies is very different to fresh, they take on a whole new flavour and really do add a new dimension to cooking

Same as a red cayenne apart from the pods mature to a brilliant yellow. When dry they go a deep dark brown but they are great to cook with. I have used one in a homemade soup which has given it a lovely warm earthy lift.
